My friend that was planning the trip to Chicago with me  to surprise another friend kept putting off asking her mom, even though she was like ‘she’ll probably say yes’

Yesterday, she said she didn’t see her mom all day. WHAT? She stayed home from school cause she was sick, and her mom works at home. And her little brother needed a ride to/from school.. you’re telling me your mom just vanished for one day? No biggie?

Today, she missed school again and just texted me

‘She said no, she said I didn’t earn it”

i’m so mad. she’s so spoiled and gets whatever she wants, but now she ‘didn’t earn it’??

I don’t think she even asked. She really didn’t seem excited about it.
